-
Cowford Realty & Design, REALTOR®
I have lived most of my life in Jacksonville’s Riverside Avondale area and am extremely knowledgeable about the historic urban core neighborhoods. I represent each of my clients as if they were my friends, and treat each home as if it were my own, ensuring the upmost care, integrity and professionalism.
Florida Association of Museums
I serve as Program Manager for the Florida Association of Museums. In this role I am responsible for managing continuing education for museum professionals, assisting with the organization of the association's annual conference, grant writing and implementation, and managing the organization's mentorship program, among other projects.
Riverside Avondale Preservation
Prior to starting her my business, I served as the Executive Director of Riverside Avondale Preservation from 2008-2016. Under my management, RAP built the Riverside Arts Market, The Riverside Community Garden and the John Gorrie Dog Park. With my team, I took on community improvement projects to clean up parks and streets, to plant trees in parks and rights of way, to save historic sidewalks, to retain public rights to river access, to save the tree canopy, and to secure a pedestrian bridge over the river.
Amelia Island Museum of History
Prior to my employment at RAP, I served as Director of the Amelia Island Museum of History for six years. During this time I managed multiple capital projects, including an overall museum exhibit redevelopment project, a historic preservation project and a major addition that included facilities upgrades and accessibility improvements. Under my direction, the AIMH joined forces with the Library of Congress through the Veterans’ Oral History Project.
